Individual
Individual therapy is an ideal option for athletes who are not meeting their performance goals and have exhausted their physical training resources. Also, Individual therapy is helpful when an athlete's off-field or non-sports goals are not being met. For example, athletes seek out Individual Counseling with Dr. Casey to address issues like anger management, social and school anxiety, relationship difficulties, problems with substance use, depression, disordered eating, and other concerns that are a source of distress in their life.
Family
Family therapy is also available at The Gold Standard. Dr. Casey understands that troubles in an athletes life and their performance are often related to family imbalance and pressure. When working with younger athletes, Dr. Casey assists the entire family to best support the changes being made to increase the athlete's performance and life goals. Athletes who are parents and marital partners seek out Dr. Casey's services to balance their sports goals and lifestyle with the needs of the family system. In both situations, it is important for sports performances and family harmony to coexist.
Boot Camps
Boot Camps! Dr. Casey knows that sometimes all a parent or coach needs is a Boot Camp Experience of their own to bring their parenting and coaching skills up to the next level. The Gold Standard offers Top Ten Boot Camps that cover the most relevant issues when working with a developing athlete. Boot Camps are typically offered every 60 days and are hosted at Dr. Casey's office in Mission Viejo, CA.
